The pandemic, which has been ongoing since early 2020, has highlighted on the importance of One Health, which primarily uses a multi-sectoral approach to solve a public health problem. The UGM One Health Collaborating Center Task Force (GT-OHCC) was holding a Poster Design Competition 2022 for all UGM students with the theme “One Health Approach to Improving Health Degrees and Quality of Life during the COVID-19 Pandemic” in order to increase awareness of the value of the One Health approach.
The process occurred from December 2 until December 22, 2022. There were 69 poster designs submitted through the GT-OHCC UGM email. After judging procedure by a panel of experts, three winners were chosen;
- First winner: Muhammad Ilham Gibran (Gizi Kesehatan, FKKMK UGM)
- Second winner: Fahriyyatuzakiah Al Azmi (Fakultas Farmasi UGM)
- Third winner: Afna Hanung Azizah (Ilmu Keperawatan, FKKMK UGM)
Each winner gets a prize of IDR 5,000,000 for the first winner, IDR 3,000,000 for the second winner, and IDR 2,000,000 for the third winner.
In his remarks as the Chairperson of GT-OHCC UGM, Prof. Dr. Tri Wibawa, Ph.D., Sp.MK(K) emphasized that the poster design competition was one of the efforts used by GT-OHCC to promote the integration of the One Health approach within Tri Dharma (Three Pillars of Higher Education) activities. The Secretary of the UGM Research Directorate, Dr. Diatri Nari Ratih, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.KG, also shared the same insight and made sure to congratulate all the participants for turning in their work.
